Chris Hemsworth Gears Up For Biggest Transformation To Play Hulk Hogan


Australia born actor Chris Hemsworth revealed he will undergo his biggest physical transformation ever as he looks to play 80s wrestling legend Hulk Hogan in a new Netflix biopic.

The 36-year-old movie star looks forward to going on set, he spoke of the radical transformation he will have to undergo as he dives into the wrestling world. ‘This movie is going to be a really fun project. As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical.’

‘I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor,’ Chris said.

He continued: ‘There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude.’

However, this did not sit right with wrestling enthusiasts who did not anticipate the Australian star would play the 80s icon in the upcoming Netflix biopic.

Wrestling commentator Bryan Alvarez, 43, said Chris was not buff enough to play Hogan, and he thought the actor was of ‘regular size’.
Bryan, himself a semi-retired professional wrestler, said: ‘Chris Hemsworth is big, and yes he’s got long blonde hair, but… have you seen Hulk Hogan in the ’80s? He’s at least twice the size of Thor,’ he continued.

While Chris looks forward to transforming into Hulk, he admitted the film has ‘quite a way’ to go before production begins, as he hasn’t even seen a script yet.

In a recent interview, Chris spoke candidly about the grueling process he underwent to gain muscle and shedding fat to play Thor in the upcoming Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder.

Chris will undergo grueling physical exercises and eat lots of healthy proteins to gain muscle and for his upcoming role

‘I put on a lot of weight — I put on about 20 pounds at one point. It was purely eating, eating, eating, working out, and working out, trying to sleep as much as you can — that’s the other third of the equation,’ he said.
‘Of his strict diet, Chris said he ate: ‘Chicken breasts and protein shakes, boiled chicken… clean meats, the right carbs. Sickly stuff.’
