As the First World War reaches its height, 1,600 men were sent to a battlefield, oblivious to the trap that has been set. Schofield, starring George MacKay (‘Captain Fantastic’), and Blake, starring Dean-Charles Chapman (‘Game of Thrones’), are sent by their commander to stop the armies from marching on and saving everyone, including Blake’s brother.
A bit of fun would be that the movie also stars Benedict Cumberbatch (‘Doctor Strange’), Mark Strong, Richard Madden, Colin Firth, Andrew Scott (‘Sherlock’), Daniel Mays (‘Rogue One’), Adrian Scarborough (‘Christopher Robin’), Jamie Parker (‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’), Nabhaan Rizwan (‘Informer’) and Claire Duburcq.
Here’s the trailer:
Cinematographer Roger Deakins has done a tremendously great job on this one because it’s been filmed as if it plays out in real-time. Deakins finally won his Oscar through ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and we all know he deserves one long before that. This trailer is ringing the bell for another Oscar.
Universal Pictures will release the film domestically in limited release on December 25, 2019, and wide on January 10, 2020.
